A good eyeliner is hard to come by and, as a contact lens wearer, I'm really fussy with which ones I'll use on my lower waterline because sometimes they end up sticking to my lens and blurring my vision. Does that every happen to anyone else? No? Just me then? Okay, moving on.
When reaching for an eyeliner on a daily basis I usually go for my trusty MAC Chromagraphic Pencil in Black Black to line my bottom and top waterline but after being given a tutorial on these Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liners, I've given that a break and have spent the weekend playing with some pops of colour on my eyes using these instead.
The kit comes with 5 eyeliners in black, brown, plum, navy blue and sea green so are some nice colour ways in there to work with depending on the mood you're in. For example, you can smoke it out with a black or try something softer like plum or navy so it doesn't look too harsh and rigid. All pens are twistable so there's no sharpening issues here.
L-R: Stingray, Lionfish, Aubergine, Navy and Emerald
The two standout shades for me in this set are definitely Lionfish and Aubergine because of the fine shimmer running through them which makes them look like they have a metallic finish but I have found myself reaching for Navy a lot to use on my lower lash line during the day for a softer look. I'm still trying to build up the courage to try Emerald on it's own but not quite sure whether to try it on the lower waterline or in lieu of my black liquid liner on my top lash line. It's one of those colours that could look spot on or very wrong, if you know what I mean.
This nifty little set is priced at £36.00 even though the contents are actually worth £65.00 (each eyeliner is actually worth £13.00) so that is an absolute bargain! You can buy the Colour Outside The Lines Set from the Stila, Boots or FeelUnique.
