Now that my blog has been pimped and my domain is all sorted (check me out - getting all pro n' all) I've got a backlog of posts I need to make my way through so I thought I'd get it cracking with a round up of the products that I've recently used up.
La Roche-Posay Micellar Solution - Available from Boots stores nationwide
After being dedicated to Lancome Eau Micellar Douceur for years and going through countless bottles, I thought I should cut the expensive taste down a little bit and try something a bit more in my actual price range. I picked up the La Roche-Posay micellar water when Boots had an offer on the brand but didn't really think much of it. I know micellar waters are designed to take off all makeup, including mascara and eyeliner, but this just didn't work so well for me. It's nice but not noteworthy.
*L'Oreal Paris Elvive Smooth & Polish Perfecting Shampoo & *60 Second Saviour - Available everywhere
I'm always on the hunt for new haircare products that can tame my mane so when I got given these two at a L'Oreal Paris earlier this year, I thought I'd give them a whirl and I actually really liked them. Yes, they are loaded with SLS but my hair doesn't seem to mind that too much and doesn't behave any differently either. The duo made my hair silky soft and tamed the flyaways so I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for something new.
LUSH Snow Fairy Shower Gel - Available at LUSH stores and website from October onwards
It's limited edition and only comes around from October to December every year. It smells of candyfloss and is loaded with shimmer. Buy it and stock pile. Trust me!
*Decleor Aroma Purete Matt Finish Skin Fluid - Available from the Decleor website
I'm forever moaning about my oil slick of a face and had completely forgotten about this moisturiser in my stash so when I came acoss it during my bi-annual clearout and re-organisation I got straight into it. The matte fluid means that it is a lot thinner in consistency compared to a normal moisturiser so didn't leave any residue on my face. If you're prone to an oily muggins like yours truly then give this a shot and see how you get on. I know it's pricey but I've repurchased it twice since and that is may-jah.
Dr. LeWinn's Instant Beauty Radiance Booster - Available from the Dr. LeWinn's website
Similar to Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, this Dr. LeWinn's Instant Beauty Radiance Booster is designed to be a multi-tasking product that can do it all. However, for me it become my saviour while on holiday in March because I fell asleep in the sun and ended up burning half my face. After a mini panic attack and a frantic text message exchange with a friend, I popped this badboy in fridge and applied it religiously on the burnt areas. The aloe vera in the gel-like formula helped to soothe my skin and make sure it was comfortable so I didn't feel the pain as much. Get it. End of.
Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover - Available everywhere
This is my go-to eye makeup remover that removes the most stubborn mascara and hardcore eye makeup. It's one of those layered removers that you have to shake to activate, similar to Lancome Bi-Facil, and swipes off really easily thus making it my favourite. It's cheap as chips as well which is always a bonus.
*Dr. Jart Water Max Sleeping Mask - Available from Boots and the Boots website
I've reviewed this product in full before HERE and still stand by what I wrote then. This was my second one and will probably not be my last.
Having had this post sitting in my Drafts folder for a month, I've managed to get through a few more products so you can count on another post similar to this with more mini reviews and random gobbledigook.
Are any of my empties something that you're using at the moment or gotten to the end of recently? If so, what are your thoughts?
Amrita xoxo
NOTE: Products marked as * were a PR sample
La Roche Posay might be my favourite micellar. I think I like it more than Bioderma. Gasp! I buy a giant bottle of Snow Fairy every Christmas as well! Mine is nearly finished. What will I do for the next six months!?
