Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Campaign 2013

It has been a VERY long time since I last blogged so you'll have to excuse any waffling that goes on in this post because I'm basically finding my feet all over again. It's been well over a month and I thought it was about time that I sat down at my laptop and had a look at what had been going on as well what posts have been sitting in my Drafts folder waiting to be published so I thought I'd jump straight in to a Bobbi Brown-related one because it's a brand that I absolutely love and not just because I used to work for them.

This post is actually really delayed because I wanted to publish it on 8th March, which is International Women's Day, but I got completely sidetracked with an impending holiday that I didn't get a chance to write the content to go with the photos that I had already taken. On 8th March 2013, Bobbi Brown were proud to annouce the evolution of their now infamous 'Pretty Powerful' message by creating the 'The Pretty Powerful Campaign for Women & Girls'. It aims to help women be who they are and raise funds to support programs that provide them with education, job skills and work experience. Also, it's the start of the Bobbi Brown partnership with Dress For Success UK so it's a pretty big deal.

So, to celebrate the partnership and the start of the campaign, the brand launched a brand new Pot Rouge called 'Pretty Powerful Pink' for which the full RRP less VAT will be donated to Dress For Success London. Good stuff, right?

I'm sure you've all seen the swatches floating around on the web but here are a few more for you:

I've found myself reaching for this Pot Rouge quite a lot but can't seem to get to grips with applying it with my fingers because I'm scared that I'll start ruining my foundation but a Real Techniques Stippling Brush does the trick. It picks up just the right amount of product and makes it a lot easier to build the colour whereas when I've used my fingers I've always ended up with more than I actually needed so if any of you have had the same trouble then try the Real Techniques brush, you won't regret the investment.

The Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge is priced at £18.00 and is limited edition and has been on sale since 8th March so if you might have to hunt for it but hopefully you'll be able to pick it up somewhere.

Until next time...
