Cheesy title, I know, but hopefully you can move on from it and on to the sweet smelling candle talk instead? Yes? Great.
Now I've never really been a candle person and used to pass any candles that I got over to my Mum because she loves them and likes to light one every evening in our living room so the scent could linger around the house. Makeup and perfumes was more my 'thing' so candles and reed diffusers used to end up with my Mum, not that she was complaining. However, recently I've changed my tune and now I can't get enough of candles. Go figure.
The candles that have recently been creating the mood in my room are:
- Aromatherapy Associated Indulgence Candle
- Laura Mercier Body & Bath Creme Brulee Signature Candle
- Yankee Candle Red Velvet
- Laura Mercier Body & Bath Tarte au Citron Candle
My small collection of candles have definitely been getting good use lately because I light one as soon as I get home from work and let the scent fill my room as I was telly or blog away at my laptop. I really am hooked! All four fragrances are very different from each other, which I love, so they all have a role to play with my evening and weekend moods...
- Aromatherapy Associates Indulgence Candle - Weekend daytimer
- Creme Brulee - Long day at work (I have this one burning right now)
- Red Velvet - Comforting
- Tarte au Citron - General evening candle
I'm sure all of you have certain fragrances and candles for different moods so you'll know exactly what I mean with my descriptions... There's a time and a place for a candle and the scent.
You can buy the Aromatherapy Associates candle from their website and the Yankee Candle Red Velvet off their website (it's the Medium Tumbler size) but sadly you probably won't be able to purchase the Laura Mercier candles. I picked these up from the Space NK sale as they had been reduced to 50% off so I couldn't resist, plus when I saw Yinka of Vex in the City was adding the Creme Brulee to her basket then I knew I had to have it.
I definitely want to add more candles to my collection so if you have any personal favourites then please do drop a message in the comments box because I'm sure there are plenty out there that I'm yet to sniff out so all suggestions are welcome!
Until next time...
