The Day I Met...

DITA VON TEESE!

So, I popped down to the Debenhams SS13 Press Day today with Lizzie (the new team member on the beauty team at work) and we just happened to bump in to Dita Von Teese.

How glamorous does she look!?!? And how un-glamorous do Lizzie and I look...

Lizzie and I were a little bit starstruck, well I think I was a little more, because she IS Dita Von Teese. And she's tiny. Like, teeny tiny. As in, put her in your pocket kind of tiny. Okay, that was a bit of an exaggeration but there wasn't a single hair out of place or smudge of lipstick or crease in her coat. It was like seeing a walking porcelain doll, although Dita doesn't really walk but she glides as if her feet aren't even touching the floor.

After a few dodgy looks from her bodyguard, I couldn't stand it and had to ask for a quick photo which she pleasantly replied with a "Mmhmm" and went in to a pose that meant she didn't actually touch us. She smiled and posed then disappeared in to thin air while Lizzie and I were left standing there thinking "Umm... Did THAT really happen?!" Of course, I was itching to ask her which lipstick she was wearing and loads of other beauty related questions but she was literally gone with the wind as soon as her assistant had taken the photo. However,  I'm almost 100% sure she was wearing a lipstick from her Artdeco Dita's Classics collection which is made up of 6 shades of red and the one she had on definitely looks like Parlez-Vous to me.

Anyway, I had to share it with all of you incase you didn't see my tweets or Instagram pics or Facebook status.... I got a bit excited, okay!

P.S. Dita was DEFINITELY wearing 6 inch stilettos. She knows to represent ;-)
