I know it wasn't too long that I had a 'Products I've Used Up' post up on here but I'm on a roll at the moment with skincare products and I've managed to get through another 4 products recently so I thought that I may as well get them up now so I can toss the empties and get some new bits out. Like I mentioned in my last post, I'm really trying to get through a lot of stuff I have before replacing bits so even though it is pretty much a 'Project 10 Pan' kind of thing, I'm not being so strict where I won't buy any makeup until I've got ten empties. That's just modern day torture and nobody should have to endure that, especially where there are so many new products out there!
These are the products I've used up and a little review on them...
The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist - Available from The Body Shop for £8.00
This is my second, or maybe my third, bottle of this face mist and it's just as good as MAC Fix+ but isn't as expensive, plus it's easier to get hold of as well because there's a Body Shop on almost every high street. I love this Vitamin E Face Mist because it's lightly scented and the mist is so fine that it sets almost immediately so you don't feel like you have a 'wet' face after you've applied your makeup.
Nivea Visage Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover - Available from Boots.com for £3.59
I recently found this in Tesco and when when I saw it was one of those 'shake to activate' products, I was intrigued because I absolutely love Lancome Bi-Facil eye make-up remover but I hate parting with the better part of £20 for a bottle. If you're interested in trying Bi-Facil but don't want to part with the money because you know you can buy a nice top for the same amount, I highly recommend that you try this Nivea version. I'm on my second bottle now and it's just as good as the expensive version or maybe a little bit better because it doesn't leave any type of oily residue.
*Korres Guava Body Butter - Available from LookFantastic.com for £12.50
If you want a body butter that really does the job and smells amazing but not like your average scent (i.e. Strawberry, Mango or Cocoa Butter) then you should try out the Korres Guava Body Butter. It has a fruity scent but it's not as obvious so isn't something that you'll smell over your perfume. I suffer from dry skin on my legs, regardless of how much I moisturise them, but this definitely helps with tackling the problem. The formula soaks right in and doesn't feel sticky or anything afterwards so you can put your clothes straight on without worrying they'll be stuck to your body in all the wrong places. We've all been there so stop denying it and acting like you don't know what I'm saying!
Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes - Available from Boots.com for £2.99
Similar to the Biore wipes I reviewed in my last "Products I've Used Up" post, these wipes come in a close second because they're really gentle on my skin and help to get the initial layer of grime off my face. Even though people say face wipes are the Devil's work and they should only be used to clean your desk or what have you, I like to keep a packet in my room for days when I'm feeling lazy and can't be bothered to cleanse three times over or if I get back late from a night out and need to get my face off quickly. Again, we've all been there and probably own a packet of these so don't feel ashamed.
Have you recently gotten to the bottom of any beauty products so you can tick them off your list?
Until next time...
