NOTD: Topshop 'Wisdom' & 'Razzmatazz'

I've been experimenting quite a bit lately with nail polishes and where I usually dodge any that are purple or too lilac, I've actually been embracing it and making it work for me. I'm sure there are others out there that just don't 'get' some colours and for me, purple is that one. I know I've sung this song before but I really wish I could pull off the colour purple without feeling like Barney but I guess it's just not meant to be.
With that being said,  I thought I'd give this metallic purple number from Topshop a try and it wasn't actually that bad!

Wisdom* by Topshop is light-purple metallic shade which went on nice and smooth with very few streaks. You'll all know how hard it is to find a metallic nail polish that doesn't streak so I was impressed with the finish of this number.

Shortly after I painted my nails, I got to thinking. I thought about how I could make the polish better and then it came to me... It needed some razzmatazz and that's exactly what I gave it...


I first saw this nail polish on a couple of blogs a while ago and while I was mooching around in Topshop a couple of months ago, I decided to pick it up because it ust looked so damn good. With a light blue/purple base, Razzmatazz is mixed with flecks of glitter and holographic chunks so when it's applied it looks so eyecatching. I even caught myself staring it at every so often and catching the light to see all the different colours... I'm in love!

Topshop nail polishes start from £5.00 and with the new Louise Gray collection out now, I think I'll be adding a few more to my collection. You can buy them in the Topshop flagship store on Oxford Street or online from the website.
