NOTD: Revlon Fashionista & Radiance

I'm all about glitter these days and any opportunity I get to add some pzazz to my nails, I'm all over it. I used to be scared of glitter and thought it looked quite childish but after slowly reintroducing it by doing accent nails, I can now happily paint all nails with coatings of glitter smile at the sparkle. In fact, the more the better.
Revlon recently launched a small range of glitter nail polishes and it was about time too. The brand is definitely on point and from their scented nail enamel collection to their Top Speed range, it was only a matter of time before they launched glitter polishes.
The Revlon PR team recently came to my rescue when I was moaning on Twitter that I couldn't find a nice dark blue glitter nail polish so they suggested that I use Fashionista, a dark blue-teal shade, and layer on Radiance which is a turquoise-ish glitter with different sized flecks. So, I did.

And, isn't it pretty?
I wasn't sure if the turquoise-ish glitter would look good on top of the blue-teal base but it turned out to be a pretty good match and toned down the brighteness of the glitter. It's not the exact shade of glitter blue that I was after because I wanted something more navy but there's no denying that it's still an eye catching combo and one that I will be doing again and again.

Revlon nail polishes are available at Boots and Superdrug nationwide and online. There's also the new Revlon Colourstay range which is in selected Boots stores across the country which I definitely recommend checking out if you get the chance.

Are there any other shades that shouldn't work together but actually create a better shade than you expected? Let me know your favourite combos!

Until next time...
