NOTD: O.P.I & Nicki Minaj Collaboration 'Save Me'

Nicki Minaj is one seriously annoying character. She's everywhere from T.V to radio to blogs and now make-up. I'm sure you'll all remember the excitement surrounding the launch of her first lipstick with MAC which was aptly called 'Pink Friday' to coincide with the launch of her first album. The lippie was available every Friday for four weeks (God knows why!) and then disappeared. I own it and have only ever used it once because it's not really my shades... I know, I know... I probably shouldn't have bought it in the first place but I got sucked in to the excitement.
Anyway, Nicki Minaj also launched another lipstick with MAC as part of their Viva Glam collection and has now gone in to the nail polish territory with O.P.I.

The collection launched earlier this year and was a bit of a hit n' miss because while the colours were nice, they weren't really anything to write home about. There was a metallic black, turquoise-ish blue, green, purple shatter, pink (obvs!) and a glitter.

For me, the glitter was the only one worth playing with and as I didn't own a bar glitter polish before, it was welcomed with open arms.

This is Save Me:
The bar glitter is way too sheer to apply on its own and I probably would have made it through half the bottle before I'd covered the whole nail so I applied it on top of a black nail polish.

Close up:
It's a multi-tonal bar glitter polish with silver and blue bars which then pick up all the other shades in the normal glitter particles... Basically, it's a whole load of sparkle!

The bottle:
I know the photo is blurry but it was the best I could do as I wanted to show you all the bar glitter and the colours that bounce off the light.

The polish lasted quite well as I got three days wear out of it before I got bored and removed it but I probably could have gotten another day or two out of it without the tip wear starting to hack me off. I know some people aren't a fan of bar glitter but I actually quite like it because it makes a nice change from the standard ones that I've got. To be honest, I forget that this was part of the Nicki Minaj collection as there is no major branding on the bottle, although O.P.I. never actually do that, so it's a bonus because she annoys me.

You might not be able to pick this shade up from the Lena White online shop or Beauty Bay but you probably will be able to hunt it down on eBay or pop into the Lena White standalone stores in either Westfield London or Westfield Stratford.

Until next time...

8 stiletto lovers had something to say::

  1. This is nice! Its something different as opposed to the regular glitters! x

  2. So pretty! I actually tried the bubble gum pink polish from the collection and like it, too. The glitter is so fun, though!

  3. Aw I like Nicki, she's bonkers. I'm not sure how I feel about the glitter - it looks very lovely over black like this but I would just be always imagining removing it...! x

  4. Awesome nails! I love the longer strands of glitter :)

  5. Love the nail colour and your blog, but anxious to buy the Nail lacquer, does this nail polish remove easily, as in the past with O.P.I nail lacquer, i have found it difficult to remove!x
