NOTD: Orly Mineral FX 'Stone Cold'

Seeing as we are now in December and there are only three weeks left until Christmas is upon us, I have decided to embrace all things glittery and sparkly. I love glitter nail polish but can never bring myself to do a full glitter mani because I know how much of a pain it is going to be when it comes time to remove it. I know that I will end up going through a packet of cotton wool and half a bottle of nail polish remover before I have removed all traces of glitter from my nails, fingers and hands. If anyone knows of a quick and easy way to remove glitter nail polish than please let me know because it really is the bane of my life.
That being said, when I received this glittery number from Orly, I knew I would have to bite the bullet and go  full steam ahead with a glitter mani...

This is Stone Cold from the Orly Mineral FX range:
My photo actually doesn't do this polish any justice because up close it really is amazing. It's definitely more of a glitter than a shimmer but the colour itself is gorgeous. I definitely don't own anything like this in my collection which makes it all the more special for me and I've had quite a few compliments on it too. There are five other glitter/shimmer shades in the Mineral FX collection by Orly and I think I might just have to buy those ones too.

Orly Mineral FX polishes are £7.50 each and are available from BeautyBay.

4 stiletto lovers had something to say::

  1. This is such a pretty blue colour, I've never tried Orly nail polishes but I really want to.

To remove glitter nail polish, try soaking a piece of cotton wool and placing it on your nail, and then wrap it up with a bit of tin foil. Wait for a few minutes and when you take the tin foil off, the glitter should just slide away with the cotton wool :)
