Some of you may remember the post I wrote a few months back on the Nails Inc and Little Miss collection that had been released to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Mr Men and Little Miss books. There are four shades in the collection which represent a different character from the book - You can see the original post and all the stock photos HERE.
I was kindly sent a sample of the Little Miss Splendid nail polish which was the only one that I actually caught my eye when I first saw the imagery of the collection and it didn't disappoint.
Besides from my God awful cuticles, the nail polish itself is a very pretty sea green with a blue shimmer running through it. Naturally, the blue shimmer is near on impossible to photograph properly so I used the camera on my Blackberry instead which actually picked up the colour really well.
The shimmer that runs through it isn't really visible once you've layered on two coats of the nailpolish, which is all it takes, but it does looke very pretty in the bottle. I was actually quite surprised with the polish because Nails Inc products have never really amazed me and I'm not a big fan of them because I find them to be incredibly streaky and not very long lasting. However, that being said, this polish went on super smooth and was completely opaque after two coats which is pretty good. The only thing I don't like is the fact that it took ages to dry and even with a layer of Seche Vite on top, I had to wait for another 20 minutes before I was ready to do anything which is far too long for my liking.
The Nails Inc Little Miss nail polishes are priced at £12.50 each and available instore and online.
What do you think of Little Miss Splendid? Is she really 'splendid' or totally dupeable?

This is such a pretty colour!
ReplyDeleteI love shimmery polishes - I haven't used many Nails Inc polishes, I tend to get them when they're free with Diet Coke or a deodorant or something!
xx
I love this colour!! The drying time doesn’t sound good though. How long did this last for?
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous, I bet it will look amazing when the sun light catches it! xxx
