Shoes & Accessories Haul: H&M, River Island & ASOS

I love shoes and decided that I needed to invest in some new ones but before I could do that, I went through my entire shoe wardrobe and threw out the ones that had not been worn in atleast 2 years. You see, it turns out that when it comes to shoes, I'm a hoarder. I don't want to throw them out in case I find a use or need for them later on down the line so I didn't actually throw out a lot of pairs. I ended up rearranging most of them in a way that would make the most worn in one place and least worn at the back of the lot. Anyway, during the last few weeks I've picked up a few new additions to my collection and they are a right mix match of heels and flats.

H&M
Black Peep Toe Ballet Pumps - £7.99
Again, taking inspiration from Shirley of Meek~N~Mild, I saw these in one of her videos and thought they were so cute but never had the intention of buying them. However, when I was shopping in H&M the other day, I saw them and they were the last pair so I figured that I might as well pick them up because I probably wouldn't see them again after that. I'm sure we've all been there where we see something we like in H&M, decide not to get it there and then but go back for it a day or two later only to find that it is long gone.

MATALAN
T-Bar Weave Detail Sandal - £10.00
I bought a pair similar to these last year from Accessorize but as soon as I got them home, I noticed that parts of the stitching were coming away so I took them back and couldn't find a decent pair since then. Well, that was until these crossed my way while I was browsing the shoes in Matalan. I've never bought a pair of shoes or sandals from there but having seen a few posts on their SS11 press day, I ventured in and was pleasantly surprised at the variety of footwear they have. Okay so not all of it is pretty and my cup of tea but there are some really nice bits in there if you take the time to hunt for your size. I can't wait to give these an outing with a coral pedi or something equally eye catching!

RIVER ISLAND
Brown Buckle Detail Sandals - £54.99
These are my go-to pair of shoes for the moment and they probably will be all summer because they're so versatile. I saw these on the ASOS site during the whole Groupon code time and knew that I was going to pick them up with my voucher but when it came to purchasing them, the code wouldn't work because apparently River Island products weren't included. However, I didn't let that stop me and ended up ordering them anyway because once I've seen something I want then there is no stopping me!
The colour is so versatile that you can wear them with pretty much anything and are smart enough to be worn in the evening or dressed down with a pair of jeans during the day. Oh and they're really comfortable too but if you plan on standing in them for about 8 hours then you might want to take a pair of flats with you. Trust me!

ASOS
Perfect Platform Court Shoes in Toffee - £27.00
Now these are the shoes that I did pick up using my ASOS Groupon code and I was amazed when I got them because they are so beautiful. When I saw them on the website I wasn't really moved by them but with 2 minutes on the clock to place my order before my code expired, I didn't have much time to umm and ahh over them so ended up buying them and waiting for the delivery to arrive. As soon as I took them out of the box, it was love at first sight! The colour was perfect as I had been after a nude-ish pair of stilettos, the heel was a good 5 inches and the patent leather just added that extra 'va va voom' to them. I have yet to wear them out somewhere but when I do, you lot will be the first to see what they look like.

H&M
Bright Stone Ring - £3.99 each (Not available online but definitely in store)
These originally caught my eye in Fabulous magazine about 2 weeks ago but they weren't on the top of my wishlist so when I saw them in H&M the other day, I figured I might as well buy them. You know... Because of the whole "now you see it, now you don't" thing that they have going on in that shop. They look like those big gumballs stuck on a ring but I love them and I'm sure they will see a lot of action over the next couple of months - The orange ring is the identical colour to my Lancome Le Vernis in Orange Fluorama so I'll definitely be doing the whole matchy-matchy thing.

What have you lot been haul-ing? I've seen some more shoes that I *need* but I shall refrain for a couple of weeks from buying them because I need to be a good blogger and start saving a little bit of money now. Also, I've included all the links of where you can buy each product where the details and price info are for each product - If I can't shop, then I can live vicariously through you! Make me proud!

Until next time...
Keep swivelling those hips in your

  3. Hiya Carla,
The nailpolish in my post is Body Language by Essie. I've featured it in a NOTD post before on here so you can see it close up if you search for it in the Archive.xx

  4. Hi Gabrielle,
I didn't think Matalan was going to be good for summer footwear but it does have a few hidden gems. I definitely recommend having a look around... You'll be surprised with what you find! xoxo

  5. I feel like such a foot fetishist asking this question BUT what do the ASOS ones look like on your feet? I.e. do they match the skin colour well? You know why I ask, I want a decent pair of nudes that don't look too stark.

And my wardrobe is begging me to buy those H and M flats.

  7. Rhamnousia, I'll tweet a pic of them so you can see what they look like. They're darker than my legs and feet but that's probably because I'm unusually pale. LOL.xx

Thanks for the comment. The River Island sandals also come in coral so I've been eyeing those up now.. They're just so gorgeous! x

  9. Wow I love those Matalan shoes - fab! And the ASOS ones - such good value! I would have guessed they were way more expensive. Great buys! I have a really similar pair to those RI ones from a couple of years ago but soooo uncomfortable :( Hope those ones treat your feet nicely! x
