If you've seen my previous blog post then you'll know that yesterday was a fighting battle for me when it came to deciding which nail polish colour to have on my nails. I'm not going to go in to it as you can happily skip over to that post and read all about it but I went from colour to colour and then turned to Twitter for suggestions. I love Twitter because when I can't make up my mind, someone on there can do it for me. Amanda of Beauty Blogging Blonde suggested that I paint them in navy which was then agreed upon by Charlie of Lady Of The Lane and Jennifer of All That Glitters And Sparkles but it then dawned on me that I didn't own a navy nailpolish. Or so I thought.
After applying and removing about 6 different shades of nailpolish, I rummaged around in my storage unit and came up trumps with Barry M 'Navy'. I have NO idea whatsoever that I even owned a navy let alone the Barry M which Jennifer had suggested I try. Needless to say that I was a very happy bouncy bunny that I didn't need to out and spend some money on another nailpolish.
This is what it looks like:
It is the perfect metallic navy, although I may refer to it as royal blue instead because navy makes me think of a flat muted dark blue but this is has a gorgeous sheen running through it. It took two thick coats to give it the finish you see above and I added an standard coat of Seche Vite on top to speed up the drying process and give it a glossy finish. I am tempted to add some sort of gold nail art to it on one nail maybe, just to be different... But then again I am absolutely rubbish at nail art so it's better if I don't because I quite like the colour and don't want to have to reapply it.
You can buy Barry M nailpolishes from Boots and Superdrug, both online and in store, and if you're lucky they will even be on a 2 for £5 deal that they have quite often.
Until next time...
