NOTD: Orly 'Royal Velvet'

I know I only posted a NOTD post yesterday but seeing as today was the Royal wedding, I thought it was fitting for me to change my nailpolish to something more festive and appropriate.

Therefore, meet Royal Velvet by Orly.
I purposely chose not to post about anything Royal wedding related on here but when rummaging around through my nailpolishes, I came across this number and just couldn't avoid it. It seemed perfect for the occasion with the name and the colour - You know, "blue blood" and all that.

A closer look at the polish in all of its glory...

You can definitely see the duochrome (Is that what it's called because I might be wrong?) colour of blue and purple which I absolutely love. It went on a little thin with the first coat but that was fixed with a second coat and a layer of Seche Vite on top to give it that amazing glossy finish.

A close up (sans flash):
The consistency of the nailpolish really is great but then again, that's just Orly for you! I've yet to use an Orly nailpolish that doesn't perform as well as I would want it to so the brand and this polish get a big thumbs up from me.

Are any of you wearing some sort of Royal nailpolish or makeup product today to join in with the fun? Let me know in the comments box at the bottom.

Until next time...
Keep swivelling those hips in your
