EOTD & FOTD: Meditterranean Mischief

Following on from my previous post of swatches of the new Sleek MakeUP Mediterranean collection, I thought I would do an EOTD and FOTD post so you can what the products are like when actually used because simple swipe-on-the-arm swatches don't really do much except for show you the colour payoff.

Anyway, this is what I came up with using a few of the shades in the palette:

I don't make a habit of doing two very different eye makeup looks when I go out but for the sake of this post, I had to make an exception :-)

A closer look:
*Ignore the clumpy mascara and the smudge on the eye*
The colours I used from the palette for this eye were Washed Ashore (all over the lid), Sunset (in the crease), Moors Treasure (in the outer corner), Bamboo (as a highlight) and Summer Breeze (on the bottom lash line). I chose to use Summer Breeze on the bottom lash line as it made the look seem a bit more summery and went with the whole sunset/sea thing I was going for.

Another closer look:

*Again, ignore the clumpy mascara*
The shades from the palette that I chose for this colour were Kiwi Zest (all over the lid), Hummingbird (in the crease), Aquamarine (blended just above the crease), Midnight Garden (in the outer corner), Bamboo (as a highlight) and Magenta Madness (to line the lower lash line). Again, I chose the magenta shade to line the bottom as it went with the whole tropical cocktail look that I was aiming for. I've had cocktails a plenty and this look reminds of a Sea Breeze... Mmmm :)

What did the blush and pout polish look like? Well, take a look at the mug below and excuse the bad skin - I'm working on it!
You can't even tell that I'm wearing the blush in the photo and that is because I applied the product really lightly to avoid looking like a complete clown but I probably would have added a bit more colour if I was going out for a party. Like I said in my previous post, the pout polish in Monte Carlo doesn't do much for the lips except give them that "my lips but better" look which I quite like as it's good for work and quick touch ups during the day.

So there you have it!
What other colour combinations would you have put together using the palette? I'm going to have another play around and see if I can do something with the matte shades that will make them more vibrant so I'll keep you posted with that.

Until next time...
