Hey all.
Way back last year, I was sent the Revlon 'Suede Rhapsody' collection (I think that is what it was called!) to play with and was actually impressed with the products. This nailpolish was part of the collection, along with Emerald City, and has been hiding in my storage unit for a few months. I have to give a major thanks to Rhamnousia for posting about this nailpolish on her blog a couple of weeks ago which reminded me to dig mine up.

I love the colour. I love the semi-matte finish. I love the consistency.
HOWEVER...
I don't love the fact that I only applied it yesterday and after washing about 5 plates and glasses, there was already significant tip wear. This did kind of put me off about it because I didn't want to add an extra matte top coat to it and I didn't want to add an extra gloss coat to change the look of it completely.
I was surprised that Ruby Ribbon started chipping after 24 hours (if that!) seeing as I got a good 3-4 days out of Emerald City before that looked anything like the photo above. Weird.
Have any of you tried these Revlon Matte nailpolishes? They're priced at £6.39 and available from Boots and Boots online.
Look out for my next NOTD post which might even be today... I got my hands on Gray Suede by Revlon and I don't think I'll be able to stay away from it!
Until next time...
Keep swivelling those hips in your
color is gorg but I don't like the fact that it chipped in a day :(
ReplyDeleteI love the matte finish but boo on the lack of durability :-(
ReplyDeleteMine didn't chip for ages, I used it as an Xmas polish and it stayed on for a while and I did a lot of food handling then..
ReplyDeleteThat's the thing about matte polishes, you can never say how long they will last, I have some that last and last and them some chip after a day.
