Benefit and Katherine Elizabeth Millinery: The Mad Hatters and Makeup Tea Party

Hey all!

On Wednesday, I was kindly invited to the Benefit boutique in Covent Garden for a tea party with a twist... This was a Mad Hatters & Make Up tea party!
The event was a collaboration of the fun kind with hat designer to stars, Katherine Elizabeth Millinery and Benefit. Exciting, I know!!!

So I braced the cold and trundled off to the boutique where I met one of my fave beauty bloggers and buddy, Hell Candy, and we embarked on a funfilled night of eyebrow grooming, cocktail drinking and hat making :-)

It's so hard not to wish all of this was in my collection!!!

These are just some of the amazing and eccentric hats made by Katherine Elizabeth. Not only has she made hats or headpieces for the likes of Lily Allen and Henry Hollan, but also Dita Von Teese! Swooooooon!

This is what we were greeted with.... Beads, buttons, sparkly bits and ribbons!

A quick poke around the table and we found lots of feather and fluffy bits too. Apparently, these were going to be on our hats somewhere...

I want a necklace made out of these!

All sorts of bits and bobs...

Ribbons galore...

No Mad Hatters tea party would be complete without mince pies, victoria sponge cakes and chocolate and jam sandwich cakes! Nom!

The evening was hosted by Mansi, the Benefit PR Assistant, (Sorry babe, I had to do it!) who was the first up to get her brows groomed by the Benebabes...

and Lisa the Head Make-Up Artist and Events Organiser for Benefit - This is pay back, Lisa!!!
Jasmine, the Digital Manager, was also involved with the event but unfortunately I didn't manage to get a photo of her.. Sorry honey!

and the brains behind Katherine Elizabeth Millinery...... Katherine!

After a quick speech and a little intro on how to get started, the event got into full swing and there was a whole lot of squealing and excitement in the air! There was feathers, fluff and a whole of spangly sparkles being thrown around but it was so much fun. There were small hats to larger than life creations (Click HERE to see HellCandy's amazing headpiece!!!) but everyone definitely had a great time.

Katherine Elizabeth hat parties are a great idea for a girly night in or out and Benefit would be more than happy for you and your friends to take over one of their boutiques if you're looking for a space too! Click HERE for more information or contact Lisa at Benefit!

Oh and this was my little headpiece!!!

I wanted to make something simple yet very wearable so I opted for red and black feathers on a felt piece with a touch of sparkle :-)

Major thanks to all those involved for hosting such a fun-filled event!!!

Until next time...
