Hey all!
I don't think I've ever done a shower/bath product review on here before but this product definitely deserves some face time purely because of its amazingness. I know there are some of you that splash out a lot on shower/bath products or atleast buy them in the bulk-load but I always look past the body care bits and bobs and head towards cosmetics. Well, I'm not impartial to a stop in Lush to stock up on Snow Fairy (That reminded me that I need to pop in there and pick up another few bottles of the stuff!)
Anywho, the product that has been a staple in my shower is Naked Bodycare's Glowing Skin Rice Shower Scrub (Now, that is a mouthful!)
I was sent this a couple of months ago to have a play around with so I've been using it religiously and it doesn't look like finishing any time soon either :-)

First impression:
The first thing I noticed when I popped the tube open was the smell. When I read 'rice' on the packaging, I was a bit curious. What exactly does rice smell like? Nobody ever says "Hmmm... That rice smells good" or "Oh dear, the rice smells a bit funky". Lol. However, this has a light citrus scent to it which is quite pleasant and not at all overbearing. Having a closer look at the ingredients label, I noted that there was a lime oil, coriander oil and black pepper oil which explained the scent.

On first squeeze, the product is actually quite thick and not runny or gloopy like some shower scrubs I've used. That being said, you do need a fair share of product to work it all over your body as the teeny scrubbers (or exfoliating beads, if you want to be technical) need to work their magic and they definitely do with this product!
As you work the product in, you can actually feel it scrubbing away all the impurities and dead skin cells (I know that's a bit of a giveaway from the name of the 'shower scrub' but hopefully you know what I mean. Lol). The smell lingers for a little while but when you wash it off, it disappears which was a tad disappointing because I really like the scent. There's just something refreshing about a citrus scent in the shower in the same way that there is about a candyfloss and bubblegum scent (Another reminder to buy some more Snow Fairy).
I'd definitely recommend this product for anyone who is a fan of shower scrubs as a change from shower gels. I found my skin to be a lot smoother afterwards and it works a treat if you're shaving your legs/arms/underarms and want to give them a nice buff and polish afterwards. Another bonus is that the packaging is fully recyclable and the product isn't tested on animals either! Major bonus!
The 'Glowing Skin Rice Shower Scrub' is priced at £3.99 and is available from the Naked Bodycare website which is HERE.
Having tried out this product, I'm tempted to make some purchases from the site to see how they measure up!
