I haven't done a Face Of The Day (or Face Of The Night, in this case) kind of post in a while so here's something for you to feast your eyes on :-)
On Wednesday evening, I managed to get out of doing my evening shift at work and instead attended the glamourous and exclusive launch party for new Bobbi Brown book. It took me a while to figure out what to wear and what kind of makeup to so I went with the good ol' smoky eye.
My theory is, WHEN IN DOUBT... SMOKE IT OUT!
Even if it doesn't look great, kind of like mine, it still works because it's a smudgy smoky look that doesn't really need a lot of thought.
So this is the EOTN:

Products used:
- UDPP
- Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow in 'Ruthless'
- Lancome Ombre Absolue Duo in 'Day & Night'
- MAC eyeshdaow in 'Carbon'
- Lancome Artliner in 'Noir'
- Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara
- No.7 Smoky Eyeliner - The powdery one that comes in the liquid well looking thing.
This pic was taken at the end of the night so there isn't a lot of sparkle left but there was a fair bit of sparkle from the Lancome 'Day & Night' duo which made it look more "put together"... If you know what I mean!
FOTN:

Now, I bet you're wondering what the pose is about?
Remember in my last photo-heavy post about the launch party, I mentioned taking photos in the fun booth thingy... Well this was one of them. It allowed us to take 4 different shots, with or without the wind machine, and you can clearly see that I chose to have the wind billowing through my hair ;-)
Products used:
- Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation
- Bobbi Brown Corrector
- Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer
- Illamasqua Powder Blush in 'Tweak' - My new go-to blush!
- MAC Powder Blush in 'Style' - Looks amazing on top of Illamasqua's 'Tweak'
- MAC lipstick in 'Nude Rose' from the DSquared2 collection
- MAC Cremesheen Lipgloss in 'Partial To Pink' - Fave MAC lipgloss EVER!
There you have it!
What do you think? Did I manage to pull off a bit of a dodgy looking smoky eye or did I completely fluff it up and probably looked like a noob all night? LOL.
Until next time...

LOVING the EOTN. Have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteLove the pose and no you didn't look like a noob (lol), it looks great! :) The bloke just had a nose over my shoulder at your post and said 'Who's that? She looks like Salma Hayek!' That's a massive compliment coming from him so it's a definite two thumbs up for the look! :)

Thanks girls!! I wasn't sure if I did the smoky eye look any justice because I it didn't look as 'put together' as I would have liked but your comments made me feel a whole lot better about it :-)
