Who Said Short Girls Couldn't Max It Up?!

Hi all

For those of you that follow me on Twitter, I'm sure you're fed up with hearing about my hunt for the perfect dress to wear to a wedding but you'll also know that I finally gave up the hunt and decided to design my own.

I went out and bought some material, done a quick doodle and told my aunt (who is also a fabulous tailor) exactly what I wanted and WHAM BAM! She made it!

So this is what the finished dress looked like:

Who said shorties like moi couldn't pull off a maxi dress!?!!? LOL.

It was a floor skimming (and sometimes foot tripping) number that was meant to be a one shoulder wonder but I ended up adding a thin strap to the other shoulder to give me a bit of 'lift', if you know what I mean ;-)

The belt around the waist was another extra that I had added to the dress to give me some definition and to avoid looking like I was drowning in a sack.

You can't see my jewellery properly but this is what I had on:

Necklace - Majique at Oceanic Jewellers

I wore my nude patent Steve Madden wedges with the dress so it didn't look "ball gown"-ish in the day time.
