Hi all..
I was meant to have this post up about 2 weeks ago but it's better late than never, right?
These are my current ins and outs for your perusal!
IN
1. Early mornings
Since I've been at Bobbi Brown, I've been having to wake up at 6.30am every day which means no more lazy mornings of rolling out of bed at 10am like I used to. Boo :( I have to admit, it takes a bit of getting used to but now I'm ready to roll by 7.45am. Well, give or take 5 minutes... You know what it's like!
2. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream
I've been using this for a week now and I am so glad this badboy was in my school bag! Having used Kiehls Avocado Eye Treatment for a few months now, I was glad to have something new to play with and I am pleased to report that this does exactly what it says on the label.
Now that I commute on the tube to work every day, my skin feels a lot drier than it used to and my eye area doesn't feel too good either :( However, I've been using this and I feel an instant change. My concealer sits a lot better around my eyes and I don't feel like it's drying me out so I guess it's true what they told me at school... This cream is like a glass of water for your eyes!
3. The Body Shop 'Baked To Last' Blusher in 'Petal'
Having attended The Body Shop blogger event last month, this little beauty was given to me in my goodie bag among a load of other bits and bobs which I'm sure you've seen on blogs galore. It's a two tone blusher that has a pink on one side and a peach (which I'm guessing is the highlight) on the other side. It goes on a dream and is buildable so you can either have a pinch of colour or go for a full on flushed look depending on how you're feeling.
I've been applying it with my Essence of Beauty angled contour brush and it goes on a dream! We have a winner!!!
OUT
1. Copious amounts of Diet Coke
Before starting work at Bobbi, I was drinking atleast one (Ok, two) cans of Diet Coke a day. I just couldn't help it because it's all that's stocked in my fridge at home. However, I've traded in my daily can allowance for either half a can of Diet Coke or a glass of water. I feel like I've been neglecting the good ol' transparent stuff so I figured that if I had a glass of water every time I was craving Diet Coke might be somewhat beneficial to my health and my breakout skin.
It's not been easy but giving up Diet Coke was never going to be easy task!
2. Impulse buying
It's the best kind of shopping but it's also the worst. Impulse buying has cost me a whole lot of money so I thought it's about time that I attempted to cap it before I bankrupt myself and pissed my bank off even more. Walking down Oxford Street every day isn't as hard as it was when I started work because I always used to hear the ring of a cash register and felt the need to buy something as not to upset the shop (That's my theory and I'm sticking to it!). Nowadays, I'm able to walk straight past my usual haunts and go straight to work or the tube station. I'm so proud of me :)
3. My blogging slackfest!
I hate the fact that I've slacked bigtime on here and I'm sure you're all getting fed up with my sorry excuses at the beginning of each post about my absence. I'm really am trying to stay on top of it! I promise! Anyway, this blogging sabbatical is now over and normal service will resume shortly. I shall no longer disappear from the circuit for more than a couple of days a time and I will be back with a burst of posts to keep you giggling, ooh-ing and aahh-ing for as long as possible!
What are your ins and outs? If you've got some up on your blog then drop the link in the box so I can take a look too :)
Take care my loves and remember to

I totally get what you mean about trying to drink more water... I have an addiction to Red Bull and Hazelnut Lattes and it's so hard to cut down!
ReplyDeleteHow's life @ Bobbi Brown?? You should do another diary-type post on it :-)
