The Body Shop & ECPAT Campaign

Hi all

As you all know, I was invited to The Body Shop blogger event a few weeks back where we were shown the new baked makeup range, improved Vitamin C range and the revamped haircare range. I know, weren't we a lucky bunch!
Anyway, I'm not going to bore you with the details of the event because there are a million and one photos and whatnot floating around on other blogs so I'm sure you all get the picture.

Besides from playing with glitter, cupcakes and makeup, we were also introduced (or re-introduced) to the campaign that The Body Shop is working on with ECPAT to "Stop Sex Trafficking of Children and Young People".

Not sure what it's about? Well this is what The Body Shop have to say:

About The Campaign:
This year a petition calling for the UK Government to offer safety and wellbeing to young victims of trafficking launches specifically calling for greater care and protection to child victims of trafficking by ensuring every child is provided with a guardian to look after them.
· A system of guardianship would mean that every child victim of trafficking would have someone with parental responsibility to care and support them.
· A guardian would protect each child and prevent them from facing further exploitation and harm from their traffickers.

So, how can you help?

Well, the first thing you can do is head to your nearest Body Shop and pick up a Kind Heart, Soft Hands hand cream. Not only is a great handcream but £2.36 of each one sold is then donated to the ECPAT fund to stop child trafficking. Sounds like a bloody good idea to me!

Celebrities from all over the world are supporting the campaign and it's only going to get bigger and better as it grows.
People like Robert Pattinson (Swoooon) and Sienna Miller have all done a doodle of their hands to show their support to STOP the trafficking of children and young people :)

That's Robert Pattinson's fat hand in the middle. Lol.

There's also a petition you can sign in store or online to pledge your support to the campaign which you can do from now. Just click HERE

I did it.

The other bloggers did it.

The question is, will you?

It only takes a click of a button and a tap on your keyboard... So do it :)
