OOTD: Shopping In NY!

Hi all.

Hope everyone is doing well and working hard. It's almost the weekend so yayyyy!!

I'm trying to churn out blogposts at least once or twice a day at the moment because I have so much to get through and I want to stay on top of it. If there's anything particular that you'd like to see or a product I've mentioned that you'd like reviewed then just drop me an email or comment in the box and let me know :)

Anyway, when in New York you have to do as Carrie does and this means, changing outfits about 3 times a day! Seriously. I would change my outfit if not 3 times a day then at least twice. It wasn't intentional but the weather is quite unpredictable over there so I'd have to rush back and change into something more appropriate.

Whenever I was out shopping I opted for jeans or leggings because they were the most comfiest. I'd save the dresses and heels for the evening. Sorry SJP, as much as I admire you, I just couldn't do it.

This was the first, or maybe second, outfit of the day (I can't remember what day it as):

Sunglasses: Michael Kors

Tshirt: H&M
Waistcoat: New Look - It was actually attached to another top I have but it does with anything.
Scarf: Topshop - I can't afford a real McQueen scarf and I bought this one about 3 years ago.
Jeans: Topshop
Necklace: Topshop (I'm beginning to see a pattern here)
Bangles: Primark
Watch: Diesel
Bag: Primark
I was wearing dark gold ballerina pumps which were from Primark too.

While shopping out in NY, I realised that the London style is very different to NY style. In London, people throw on all types of prints/textures and make it work whereas in NY, it seems people are afraid to experiment. It turns out that not everyone has the fashion flair of our beloved Sex & The City women! ;-)

For this reason, I prefer shopping in London. London has a lot more to offer and prides itself on it's ability to stand out from the crowd. New York, on the other hand, sticks to its guns and caters for the locals. There's no harm in sticking with what you know but maybe they should explore other trends. I'm sure they will be jumping on the London style bandwagon soon enough though, what with Topshop taking NY by storm, albeit a highly overpriced storm!

What do you think?? Is New York your shopping haven or would you rather cruise the local high street? Let me know!

Until next time...
