Hi all.
I give you part one of my NY haul posts. I didn't buy as much as I thought but I'm fussy when it comes to clothes so there are just some things that I had to avoid.
Anywho, here they are:
Steve Madden patent nude wedges. I adore these shoes because they're perfect for Spring/Summer and the gold and silver studs means they can be worn with a mix of jewellery.
I picked these up from Macy's for $71.00, reduced down from $100. I love bargains!!!
My gorgeous Guess gladiator stilettos which I also picked up from Macy's. These were $80 so another bargain for my list! I think I'm getting good at this bargain hunting malarkey! Haha.
I know a fair few of you hate Uggs but I still love them. I think these badboys are selling in Office for £160 but I picked them up for $150 so I saved a fair bit of money on them.
I've been after big bug eye sunglasses for so long and even though I had my heart set on a pair of Miu Miu ones I saw in Westfields, these Bestsey Johnson ones definetly came in second place. The side detailing on the arm caught my attention first because it made the pair of sunglasses not look so serious. I don't know if that makes a lot of sense but I know that whenever I see a celebrity wearing big sunnies its to cover up a hangover or to just look like a noob. However, with these beauties, the pink leopard print on the side adds a bit of colour and makes me smile :)Oh and I got these from Macy's too for $80.
I bought these sunnies for my mum because I love her and she always manages to break hers. They're Guess and have blingtastic diamante's on the side. Guess is pretty cheapo out there so I got these ones for $21.00 from Century 21. Oh, anyone that's never been to NY before and is on the hunt for a bargain then make sure you go to Century 21. There's loads of designers and for a third of the price! Just be prepared to throw a couple of elbows and maybe some foul words around.
Lastly, I wasn't too impressed with the selection of bags in NY. If it's not a designer bag then a lot of the stuff looks crap. It's either got the brand name or logo emblazoned all over it or it's just down right ugly. This was one of the bags that actually did get my attention and maybe it's because it did none of the above. It's simple and chic but the ruched (I have no idea how the word is spelt but I'm hoping you know what I mean) effect makes it stand out. It's by UE (and I don't know what that stands for) and was $30 from Century 21.
That's all.
Like I said, I didn't really go crazy while shopping in NY because the style there seems to be very different than what I wear, I don't know how but it is. I'm sure you all know about my Manolo Blahnik opportunity but when I finally got down to the boutique there, I just wasn't impressed. There was nothing that screamed "BUY ME" except the blue satin shoes that SJP wore in SATC for her wedding to Big. I tried them on. I tottered around. I sighed. Then put them back. I could have bought them but I just didn't see the practicality in them. I hate that side of my brain!!
The next post will be all the clothes that I picked up while out there. I'll try get it up tonight but if not then it'll be up tomorrow.
Until next time...Take care and remember toWalk tall with a swivel in your hips whenever you're wearing your-6inchstilettos-
Urgh! You've got me lusting after those wedges now!
