My Lancome Diary: Week Two

Hi all.

It's been very hectic in the press office over at the Lancôme HQ. There's been blood, sweat and tears galore! Ok, I lied. The blood was from the papercuts, the sweat was from the hot office and the tears? Umm, there weren't none. You get my drift though!

Between working on the presentation and organising a Twitter giveaway (which was a great success by the way) I have been a very busy bunny but I've enjoyed every bit of it and wouldn't change it for anything. I'm loving working in the press office and it has definetly opened my eyes a lot more about what goes into product lauches! It's not all roses, champagne and goodie bags, let me tell you. Haha.

Speaking of goodie bags.....

These are just some of the packs that I've put together over the week for various journalists and editors to showcase our new products... I'd love to tell you what was in it but that would spoil the surprise when you flick through the glossies over the next few weeks ;) What I will tell you is that it's a great product and everyone will want it!

So, like I said last week... There's a big presentation coming up and most of my time has been spent trying to get the boards ready. Having always been a PowerPoint girl myself, putting together a hard copy of a presentation was definetly an experience and a half! It takes a whole lot of scanning, photocopying, cropping, re-scanning and paper trimming.

These are what my boards looked like:

They are these black A1 size boards with loads of different product coverage on them.

A closer look!
I scanned, cropped, printed, photocopied, enhanced, shrunk, blew up and highlighted all the cuttings you see on them. It might not sound fun but it was and it definetly was the hard work, especially after I took them to be laminated. It made it all worthwhile :)

That's all that's been happening in the office this week. The boards literally took up all my time and now that they've been laminated all that's left is the actual presentation. I feel sorry for the big boys and girls upstairs that are going to present the boards to the big kahuna of L'oreal... It seems like one stressful job to have!

Hmm.. I wonder what this week is going to bring ;)

Stay tuned for the next instalment of my Lancôme internship!!
