My Lancome Diary: Week Three

Hi all.

I know this post is a couple of days late but I've had a busy weekend and even busier start to the week but I finally found time to sit down and get this entry live for all of you nosey parkers!

The week started off hectic with everyone trying to get their presentation pieces ready for the big kahunas that were visiting. You've all seen what the PR boards look like so when I came into the office on Monday morning I was in for the shock of my life... The laminate on the boards had begun peeling back and they took the prints with them! My first reaction was to cry. My second reaction was to scream. I made do with my third reaction, jaw drop.

Ok, so it wasn't as drastic as that but you get the picture!

With only 24 hours before the meetings and presentations took place, I had my work cut out for me.

After discussing what the next of call of action would be with Kati and Carla, I settled on a quickly muttered conversation with the laminating company who told me to bring the boards in so they could see the damage. So off I went. Trundling along the longest route possible to Covent Garden in a black cab. Seriously, the cab driver could not have taken a longer route than the one he did through Parliament Square and down by the riverside.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I ended up prancing around Covent Garden for a few hours while waiting for the laminating people pumped some botox into my boards to iron out the creases. I took a gander into MAC (I thought I'd try my luck and see if I could find a Marine Life highlight powder. I didn't. Fat chance of that happening anywhere in London!)

Within a couple of hours, I was back in a black cab with my presentation boards post-botox and all their wrinkles frozen out for good.

Tuesday, the day of the presentation, was a surprisingly calm day. It kind of felt like the quiet before the storm except that the storm never came. It wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be. I was actually ready for people hustling and bustling all over the office but instead everyone looked at ease and fairly calm so guess that's a good thing!
The rest of the week was spent re-organising the cupboards, making sure we had plenty of stock in for our press packs and sample requests that flood in every day and preparing some goodie bags for some very lucky bloggers!

That's about it. This week wasn't as busy as the previous weeks but a chilled out week was definitely needed after all the madness!

It's my last week at Lancome now and I'm really not ready to say goodbye to the great people that I've met here :(
Will bring you my last diary entry at the weekend so stay tuned for that because I'm going to try and get in as many photos as I possibly can!
