This post was supposed to be up on Friday evening but I had a couple of others that were due to be up first but I finally got here! As you all know, I'm currently interning at Lancôme in the PR office until the end of May so I decided to do a weekly wrap up of what I've been getting up to there.
I've included a couple of photos of my desk and all the gorgeousness that surrounds me. I know everyone wants a sneak peek ;)
Anyway, I’m waffling. My first day was nice and easy. Ok, I’m lying. It was great!
The people are lovely, I have my own desk and I’m surrounded my Lancôme products.
Can you say “woo hoo”?
I can and I did!
This is my little area:
I'm literally surrounded by Lancome products! I have my Tresor, Hydra Zen, Genefique, Le Vernis and a couple of other bits and bobs.
I haven’t accessorised it yet but I plan on to add my little touches, one of them will be changing the wallpaper on my computer to the New York skyline or Robert Pattinson (He’s too yummy not to looks at!)
The new Juicy Tubes range which went on sale last month...
Oh these are gorgeous, limited edition and designed by Yayoi Kasuma. Juicy Tubes are 10 years old this year so happy birthday!! Hip hip hooray :)
This week was spent learning the layout of the office (There are so many products that it’s hard to remember what is kept where) and getting a head start on a big presentation. With new products such as the Hypnose Precious Cells mascara, which is endorsed by the ever-so-fabulous Julia Roberts, there is plenty of work to get through before the big presentation.
Flicking through the magazines that we all know and love is just one of my jobs as the PR Assistant. This isn’t to scope out the competition, because I know someone will ask, but it’s too see what Lancôme products are getting coverage. To be honest, I’d never paid much attention to how often a brand is featured in a magazine until now. As a consumer, I tend to just flick through and make a mental note of what I want and add to my wish list without thinking twice.
I know you all do it too. I think all women (and men) are programmed that way!
There really isn’t much else I’ve been up to apart from working on the presentation. Oh, I also take calls and emails regarding products from the journalists and makeup artists and send out samples. It might not sound very glamorous, but for a makeup freak like me... It’s heaven!
Seriously people... HOW IS THIS NOT HEAVEN!?!?!

Well that has been my first week at Lancome. I’m so grateful for this opportunity because it is exactly what I have been after to get my foot through the door.
I definitely recommend networking on Twitter. I know that I wouldn’t be where I am right now without it!! I also wouldn’t be where I am if it hadn’t been for the kind words and support from BritishBeautyBlog. Thank you so much Jane.
Until next time...
Take care and remember to
