TAG: 40 Questions!

Hi all.

I'd seen this on Hell Candy's blog and thought it looks like fun so I thought I'd join in too!!!

SKINCARE

-How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice. Once in the morning and then once in the evening. I also use a wipe to get all the gunk off my face after work if that counts.

-What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)
I have combination skin.

-What is your current facial wash?
St. Ives Apricot Scrub. Its honestly the best thing EVER!

-Do you exfoliate?
Yes but I don't have a set schedule. I just do it when ever I feel a bit clogged up and need a boost.

-What brand do you use?
MAC Volcanic Ash Exfoliator from the Style Black collection.

-What moisturizer do you use?
I'm a simpleton so I always reach for my Nivea Soft. I've been using it for years and years and will carry on! Some find it a bit oily but its fine for me :)

-Do you have freckles?
Nope.

-Do you use eye cream?
Not really. I've started using the Garnier Caffiene Eye Roll-On contraption but have yet to feel a difference. I do use Boots Cucumber Eye Gel when I have bags and they do shrink a bit.. Keep it in the fridge so you get the same cooling effect as actual cucumbers.

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
I did when I was a teenager but thankfully my skin seems to have stabilised and isn't as bad anymore. However, I do get the odd breakout during the "time of the month".

-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
Nope.

MAKE-UP

-What foundation do you use?
I'm a foundation virgin. I don't owen one let alone use one. *ducks for cover*

-How about concealer?
MAC Studio Finish concealer in NW30. I'm waiting to hit pan so I try a different one. Probably be the Bobby Brown Creamy Concealer next.

-Do you know your undertone color?
I actually don't. Is that bad? I'm guessing I have golden undertones.

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I love them but am crap at putting them on.

-Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Said who!? I know you're meant to change it but I think its more about how the mascara feels. I mean, I've had mascaras that have lasted 3 weeks before clumping so I've binned them.

-What brand of mascara do you use?
At the moment I'm shifting between Maybelline Falsies, Revlon Double Twist, YSL Faux Cils and MUFE Smoky Lash.

-Sephora or MAC?
Seeing as I don't have a Sephora available to me here in the UK, its got to be MAC!

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
No.

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
Brushes and fingers. I really don't like sponge tip applicators.

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Yes - Urban Decay Primer Potion or a MAC shadestick.

-For the face?
Not at the moment - I think there are a bit of a con really.

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
Ummmmmmm... Theres too many to choose from!! I think I'd have to say Woodwinked by MAC. Its just so versatile and pretty :)

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Both. Pencil on the bottom waterline and to smudge on the bottom lash line. Liquid or gel on the lid.

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Never... I probably will next time now I've said that!

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
They're too messy for me and my fat sausage fingers. As pretty as they look, I just can't work with them.

-Do you use mineral makeup?
Nope. Never used it.

-What is your favorite lipstick?
MAC 'Nude Rose' from the DSquared2 collection or Maybelline 'Ambre Rose'... They're the same looking thing but I two different textures.

-How about lipgloss?
MAC 'Love Nectar'... It looks good on ANYONE!

-What is your favorite blush to use?
MAC 'Style' and 'Fleur Power'. I'm aching to get NARS 'Orgasm'. I'm just too lazy to go to Brent Cross and get it!

-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
I have a couple of times. I stopped buying MAC from ebay when I got a load of fake stuff. I was not a happy bunny! I do buy OPI nailpolishes from ebay though. They're way cheaper!

-Do you like drugstore makeup?
I think drugstore makeup is great!! Especially when you find a product thats probably just as good or even better than its twin from a high end brand. Simple things like that put a smile on my face :)

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
The last time I went to one was over a year ago when I went to Bicester Village. Once again, I'm just too lazy to go that far out.

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
I did at one point. Maybe one day I will.

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
I can be. There are days when I think "Wow. Did I just do that?" then there are days when I think "What the hell have you done!?"

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Filthy make up brushes. Its disgusting!!!

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I love colourful shades!! I embrace them as much as I do neutrals. I think colourful shades can look so pretty when applied properly.. but then they can look horrendous (i.e. Pat Butcher from Eastenders!)

-Which celebrity always has great make up?
Kim Kardashian. Theres just something about her make up that always works. Although, saying that.. She does slap it on a bit too much. Ok, may be not her then... Umm, Beyonce! She always gets it right.

-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item,what would you use?
Mascara. Just a few lashings can open your eyes and make you look awake.

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Yup. I've done it plenty of times.

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
I have no idea. I think I look okay... but my face looks really pale and flat. A touch of blusher makes the world of difference!

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I think I'd have to say MAC. With the different shades, textures, products and collections its just hard not to resist!

-What do you think of Makeup?
I love make up. It creates endless possibilities and allows people to recreate their looks over and over and over again. By allowing people to express themselves through makeup is even better. I love being able to be girly and freshfaced one day but then being sultry and dark on other days. Its amazing :)
