Swatches: Sparkled & Spangled

Hi all.

Hope you're all well and enjoying the few rays of sunshine that seem to be hitting the UK (Well, its in London.. Not sure about anywhere else!) I'm loving the fact that I can wear my sunglasses again and not look like an absolute twit because the sun isn't out. I actually need to invest a new pair. I'm thinking either Ray Ban or Miu Miu or both. Haha.

Anyway, I nicked this idea of nailpolish from Mandy and ended up falling in love with it. As much as I love 'Absolutely Alice' from the OPI Alice in Wonderland collection, I just can't wear it on bare nails. It looks great on all the swatches I've seen but on my sausages? Not so much.

Instead I used a gorgeous bluey/turquoise by China Glaze called 'Aqua Baby' and then put a single coat of OPI 'Absolutely Alice' on top and TAAAA DAAAAA... This is what it looks like!

Its still glittery but not as much as it probably would have been on bare nails. I also put a single coat of clear nailvarnish on top just to seal it all together. So far I've had 5-6 compliments on it because its so wearable and not overly noticeable. Another plus side is that I've had it on for 2 days and so far, NO CHIPS! Definately a win!
