Review: Lush Lip Scrub in 'Bubblegum'

Hi all.

Hope you're all behaving yourselves and gearing up for the weekend. My weekend will be spent working and hobbling around in my boot. Joy. I'm off to the hospital today to get the badboy fitted so thought I'd fit in a quick review on the Lush Lip Scrub.

Mandy (The Bestie) bought me this lip scrub a few weeks ago when she was out galavanting around Westfields because she was getting one for herself and thought of me too. I know, she's so lovely. I've been using the scrub since then and I'm still in two minds about whether I like it or not.

What they say:
Our fabulous lip scrubs are here to keep your kissers sweet. This one will make your lips smell like our best-selling Snow Fairy shower gel. Bubblegum is made with exfoliating castor sugar and our delicious vegan flavour to gently scrub away rough skin, keeping your lips smooth and kissably soft. Simply rub it over your lips when they're feeling the need for some sugar.

What's in it:

What I say:

I'm still trying to figure out whether I like this product or not. I've never used a lip scrub before so I do like the concept but I feel its a tad bit oily, which is probably from the organic jojoba oil. It doesn't leave a foul smell or taste on your lips so that's definetly a plus too. It could be worse I guess. Mandy told me that the bloke that served her in Lush happily swiped his finger in the tester tub and ate the stuff. Umm, GROSS! I can't bring myself to do that nor do I plan on trying on doing that but each to their own I guess. I haven't seen much of a difference in the texture or look of my lips but maybe it takes a while. I don't know. I'll keep you posted on it!!

What I do is press my finger on to the scrub, this picks up a lot of product, then gently work it into my lips. I then use a dry cloth to wipe it off and hey presto, all done! Slap on some Rose Vaseline and I'm good to go.

There are a couple of other flavours but I don't think I'm going to venture out to buy anymore. You can buy them from the Lush site and they're priced at £4.50.

Have you tried these lip scrubs? What do you think, like or loathe? Let me know in the box!!

Until next time my sugarplums
