Cheap Frills... ~ The 6 Inch Stilettos

Hi all.

Don't you just love it when something unexpectedly great happens?? Random opening line, I know, but I just couldn't resist. Yesterday was a good day. I had a laugh with my family and finally got some Wagamamas in my belly but an even better thing was the River Island incident.

What is the River Island incident I bet you're asking?

Well, here's what happened. A couple of days ago I went out shopping with my mum down the local shopping center. Went into River Island and saw the cutest black and white polka dot dress. Unfortunately, they didn't have my size so I couldn't pick it up on the spot. Weirdly enough, I had a dream that I was wearing the dress so I figured that I just HAD to have it.

Anywho, I ended up in Westfields shopping center yesterday with my parents and decided to venture on into River Island and have a look if they had it in there. After searching the store, I decided I'd ask the assistant who pointed it out on the "Last Chance" rail. Seeing the size 10 I wanted, I realised that there was a golden brooch missing off it... Dammit!

So I trundled off to the registers to pay for the dress and figured I may as well point out the missing brooch to the cashier and asked if she could give me the brooch off another dress. She said no but said that she could probably take £5.00 off the dress which would knock it down to £24.99. Guess I couldn't really complain then. As I fished out my wallet from my handbag, I realised that I still had £4.99 on a giftcard that I had so told her I'd use that and pay for the rest on my plastic. Not a problem she told me.

As the cashier attempted to discount the dress for £24.99, she somehow missed the 2 and ended up selling it to me for £4.99!!! She swiped my gift card and redeemed the £4.99, which is when she realised the mistake she had made. When she told me I thought "Uh oh. You're so going to be in shit for that" and expected her to rectify her mistake but instead she quickly put the receipt in the bag and told me to keep it a secret. I told her I would and skipped out of the store.

Keeping it a secret my arse!!! Hahaha.

The dress is £29.99. I got it for £4.99. Um, can you say BARGAIN!?!

It comes just above my podgy knees and has a panel of ruffles (hence the title "Cheap Frills" - Cheap thrills... Get it?)... Now I just need to decide on what type of shoes to pair it with!
